The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
