And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted; 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 38 He said, "My Lord, since You have let me go astray. I shall make the path of error seem alluring to them on the earth and shall mislead them all, 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44
