AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
