The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
