Al-Qalam 2 of 2
The pious ones will receive a beautiful Paradise from their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin? 35 What is amiss with you? On what do you base your judgment [of right and wrong]? 36 Or have you a book wherein you read, 37 That ye shall indeed have all that ye choose? 38 Or is it that you have a covenant from Us, right up to the Day of Judgement, that you will get all what you claim? 39 Ask them which of them will vouch for that, 40 Or have they, perchance, any sages to support their views? Well, then, if they are sincere in this their claim, let them produce those supporters of theirs 41 On the day when it befalleth in earnest, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves but are not able, 42 Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. 43 Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. 44 And I will give them respite; indeed My plan is very solid. 45 Or dost thou (Muhammad) ask a fee from them so that they are heavily taxed? 46 Is the unseen within their grasp so that they write it down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 [And remember:] had not grace from his Sustainer reached him, he would indeed have been cast forth upon that barren shore in a state of disgrace: 49 Then his Lord chose him and placed him among the upright. 50 But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;" 51 Whilst it is no more than reminder for the people of the world. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
