The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
