And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?" 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 We surely know best those most deserving of the fires of hell, 70 And not one of you but shall pass over it: it is for thy Lord an ordinance decreed. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who deny the truth say to the faithful, "Which of the two sides is better in respect of position and makes a more impressive assembly?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 Say: "The Most Compassionate Lord grants respite to those who stray into error, until they behold what they had been threatened with, either God's chastisement (in the world) or the Hour (of Resurrection)" - then they fully know whose station is worse, and who is weaker in hosts! 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he peeped into the Unknown, or obtained a promise from Ar-Rahman? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
