O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those who have tainted hearts and the scandal mongers of Madinah do not desist, We shall surely give you authority over them and their days in that city will be numbered. 60 bereft of God's grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all. 61 That was the Way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the Way of Allah. 62 People ask you about the Hour (of the great change). Say: "Only God has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may be close at hand." 63 God has cursed the unbelievers, and prepared for them a Blaze, 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 On the day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed His messenger! 66 They will say, "Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and elders and they caused us to go astray. 67 "Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!" 68
