Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
