And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
