The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
