Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 (It was said): “Do not remonstrate in My presence.
