Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And surely they used to say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
