HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
