Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
