Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
