Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
