1/2 Hizb 54
< random >
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 and you are watching at that time 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
