Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
