The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
