Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
