Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
