Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9
