And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing? 67 So by your Lord, We shall assemble them and the devils – all of them – and bring them around hell, fallen on their knees. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly? 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." 76 Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]?" 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
