The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and spreading shade 30 and waters gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For those of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
