Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 and the severally severing 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
