Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
