The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
