Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
