Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
