The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
