Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
