We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
