So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
