The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
