The tribe of Thamud denied the Noble Messengers. 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 Hath the remembrance been given unto him alone among us? Nay, but he is a rash liar. 25 Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; 27 And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Every drinking will be witnessed. 28 But they called their companion who took a sword and hamstrung her. 29 So how did My punishment turn out, and My warnings? 30 For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle. 31 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 32 The nation of Lot belied Our warnings. 33 Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night, 34 As a favour from Us. Thus We recompense him who giveth thanks. 35 He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings. 36 Then they even solicited his guests from him, whereupon We blotted out their eyes, (telling them): “Now have a taste of My chastisement and My warnings.” 37 And indeed, abiding suffering did befall them early on the morrow: 38 So taste My chastisement and My warning. 39 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
