a large throng from the ancients, 39 And a (goodly) number from those of later times. 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water, 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor beneficial. 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 and would say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit, 52 filling your bellies, with it 53 And drinking on top of it from scalding water 54 drinking it as thirsty camels do.” 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable, 60 To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil? 63 Is it you who cause it to grow - or are We the cause of its growth? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 "We are ruined, 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Did you consider the fire which you kindle? 71 Produce ye the tree thereof, or are We the Producer? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
