And now that We replace one message by another - since God is fully aware of what He bestows from on high, step by step - they [who deny the truth] are wont to say: "Thou but inventest it!" Nay, but most of them do not understand it! 101 Say thou: the Holy Spirit hath brought it down from thy Lord with truth, that it may establish those who believe, and as a guidance and glad tidings unto the Muslims. 102 And assuredly We know that they say: it is only a human being who teacheth him. The speech of him unto whom they incline is foreign while this is Arabic speech plain. 103 Verily those who believe not in the signs of Allah - Allah shall not guide them, and unto them shall be a torment afflictive. 104 Those who do not believe in the miracles of God invent lies and they are liars. 105 As for one who denies God after he has believed, with the exception of one who is forced to do it, while his heart rests securely in faith, but one who opens his heart to a denial of truth shall incur the wrath of God; such as these will have a terrible punishment. 106 That is because they love the life of this world more than the Hereafter; and Allah does not guide those who are ungrateful to Allah for His favours. 107 They are the ones whose hearts and ears and eyes have been sealed by God; and these are the heedless. 108 So it occurred that they are the losers in the Hereafter. 109 ۞ But verily thy Lord,- to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions,- and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere,- Thy Lord, after all this is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. 110
