The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. 1 They are glad news and guidance for the believers 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter – We have made their deeds seem good to them, so they are astray. 4 They are those who will suffer the worst chastisement in this life, and will be the greatest losers in the life to come. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves". 7 And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 8 "O Musa (Moses)! Verily! It is I, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 and in their wickedness and self-exaltation they rejected them, although their minds were convinced of their truth: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 14
