Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
