Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
