Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
