The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
