And if they deny you, say, “For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds; you have no concern with what I do, and I have no relation with what you do.” 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 Some of them look to you. But can you guide the blind, even though they do not see? 43 Verily Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught but mankind wrong themselves. 44 And of the Day whereon He shall gather them, as though they had tarried not save an hour of the day they shall mutually recognize. Lost surely are those who belie the meeting with Allah and they were not such as to be guided. 45 Whether We show thee (realised in thy life-time) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that),- in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do. 46 Every nation has a messenger. Once their messenger has come, judgement will be passed upon them in all fairness and they will not be wronged. 47 They say:'If what you promise is true, when will this threat be fulfilled?' 48 Say: 'I have no power to benefit or harm myself except as Allah wills. To every nation is a fixed term and when their term comes they cannot delay it for an hour, nor can they bring it forward. 49 Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?" 50 Is it, then, when it hath befallen, that ye will believe therein now? whereas ye have surely been hastening it on. 51 Then the unjust will be told, “Taste the punishment forever; and you will be repaid only what you used to earn.” 52 And they ask you: Is that true? Say: Aye! by my Lord! it is most surely the truth, and you will not escape. 53
