Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
