The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
