Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
