۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
