Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
