The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
